Softball Recap: Pike Road Comes Up Short

If Pike Road was feeling good fresh off their 12-6 takedown of Slocomb on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots lost 11-5 to the Dothan Wolves on Saturday. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Kennedy Cuthbert made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Pike Road's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Dothan, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pike Road will venture away from home to challenge Park Crossing at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dothan, they will head out to face off against Enterprise at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
