Preview: Yulee Hornets vs. Keystone Heights Indians
The Yulee Hornets will be playing at home against the Keystone Heights Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Yulee got themselves on the board against Menendez, but Menendez never followed suit. They enjoyed a cozy 18-0 win over the Falcons.
Yulee can attribute much of their success to Shamarion Gibbs, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Keystone Heights' game on Thursday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 27-22 victory over P.K. Yonge.
Cartez Daniels was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Yulee pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Keystone Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
