Newnan had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Banneker Trojans by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Newnan was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-6.

Kaycie Brown paced Newnan's offense, picking up six kills. Brown got some help from Mia West and her 16 assists. West was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Newnan's win bumped their record up to 29-12. As for Banneker, they dropped their record down to 12-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Newnan has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Northgate on the 9th. As for Banneker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Langston Hughes on the 9th.
