Basketball Recap: Fresta Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Fresta Valley Christian lost against Wakefield Country Day back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fresta Valley Christian Pioneers took a hard 62-44 fall against the Wakefield Country Day Owls. The Pioneers were down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Alfredo Martinez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wakefield Country Day, going 11 for 17 en route to 25 points and six steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Martinez has scored at least a third of Wakefield Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Didomenico, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Fresta Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wakefield Country Day, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Fresta Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wakefield Country Day, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Quantico at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
