Softball Recap: Deep Run Falls to Hanover in First Game of Season

Deep Run had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hanover Hawks. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Braelyn Baulsir was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Deep Run Wildcats challenge J.R. Tucker Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Deep Run's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hanover, they will face off against St. Catherine's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Catherine's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Hanover's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
