Lapel put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers by a score of 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rylie Hudson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Hudson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camden Novak, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kai Newman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Lapel's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Lapel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Monroe Central on the 21st. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-7 win against Anderson on the 18th.
