Basketball Recap: Campbellsport Comes Up Short

Campbellsport and Lakeside Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Campbellsport had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors, falling 53-32. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Warriors are ranked 127th).

Lakeside Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Farah Stuebs, who to rack up 14 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Murphy, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Campbellsport has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Lakeside Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 15-10.

Campbellsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to take on Lake Country Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
