Soccer Recap: Cranston East Comes Up Short

Cranston East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Exeter-West Greenwich this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in September.

Cranston East's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-2. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cranston East will face off against Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they will square off against Times Squared Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Exeter-West Greenwich will be up against Times Squared Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.33 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
