Basketball Game Preview: Groom Tigers vs. McLean Tigers

Groom hasn't had much luck against McLean recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Groom Tigers will host the McLean Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Groom ended up a good deal behind Shamrock and lost 49-30.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, McLean's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of White Deer. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Bucks are ranked 851st).

McLean's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 22-4. As for Groom, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
