Basketball Recap: Empire Comes Up Short

Empire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Safford Bulldogs 49-12. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-18 back in December of 2024.

Nia Ball was Empire's leading scorer, having posted four points. Addyson Keeling held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Empire's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Safford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Empire will face off against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Safford, they will challenge The Gregory School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
