Baseball Recap: Cabrillo Gets the Win

Cabrillo's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the La Sierra Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jaguars have posted since April 3, 2024.

Eli Torres was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Bendito Diaz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Cabrillo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for La Sierra, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cabrillo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 defeat against Valley Christian on the 22nd. As for La Sierra, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillcrest at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
