Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Allegheny). Everything went their way against the East Allegheny Wild Cats on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gladiators needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Josh Nesky was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Mason Campano was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

South Allegheny always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

South Allegheny moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for East Allegheny, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

South Allegheny will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wild Cats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
