Preview: Eastern Tech Mavericks vs. Perry Hall Gators
Eastern Tech is 0-8 against Perry Hall since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eastern Tech Mavericks will look to defend their home court against the Perry Hall Gators at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Eastern Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday.
Eastern Tech unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 73-52 walloping at the hands of Dulaney. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Eastern Tech has suffered yet this season.
Despite their loss, Eastern Tech saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Adrian Pefianco, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Brian James Jr, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Perry Hall posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 74-40 win over Carver A&T. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Perry Hall.
Eastern Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Perry Hall, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Eastern Tech suffered a grim 71-46 defeat to Perry Hall in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Eastern Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
