Basketball Game Preview: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Harrison Panthers

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers will face off against the Harrison Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis-Palmer is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Back in December of 2024, Lewis-Palmer got the win against Mesa Ridge by a conclusive 51-31. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Lewis-Palmer can attribute much of their success to Rylee Edmondson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Ariana O'Connor, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 16 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Edmondson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Graves, who posted eight points.

Lewis-Palmer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Harrison entered their match against Vista Ridge on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Harrison took a blow against Vista Ridge, falling 69-26. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lewis-Palmer's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.2 points. As for Harrison, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Lewis-Palmer came up short against Harrison in their previous matchup back in December of 2015, falling 50-40. Can Lewis-Palmer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
