Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Trojans vs. Mira Monte Lions

For the second straight game, Foothill will face off against Mira Monte. The Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foothill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Foothill barely beat Mira Monte the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Lions on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won eight in a row.

Ramon Diaz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Foothill: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise. Diaz was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Levi Price was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
