Softball Recap: Bridgeport's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ritchie County, Bridgeport was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Philip Barbour Colts by a score of 8-4. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Colts on their field since April 9, 2019.

Bridgeport's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Philip Barbour, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1.

Looking ahead, Bridgeport will head out to face off against Hampshire at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Philip Barbour, they will host North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
