Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Parkrose

Parkrose waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the McNary Celtics.

Casey Moyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Parkrose let Chaz Johnson and Jaiden Blair run wild. Johnson went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Blair scored a run and stole three bases. Those three stolen bases gave Blair a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Blair, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Parkrose's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for McNary, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Parkrose and McNary will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Broncos will challenge rival Hood River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McNary is set to square off against their familiar foe South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
