Softball Preview: Georgetown Eagles vs. Weiss Wolves
The Georgetown Eagles will head out to challenge the Weiss Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Georgetown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Weiss' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Georgetown took on Hendrickson on Friday. Georgetown was the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Hendrickson. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Meanwhile, Weiss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Lake Belton, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered since April 26, 2024.
Jordynn Booe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one double. Bel Larsen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
