The Woodlan Warriors are on the road again on Friday to play the South Adams Starfires at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Woodlan's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Prairie Heights 42-0 on the road. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

DREW FLEEK was his usual excellent self, rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Ley, who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, South Adams made sure to put some points up on the board against Jay County on Friday. Everything went South Adams' way against Jay County as South Adams made off with a 34-14 win. The Starfires pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

South Adams relied on the efforts of Tytus Lehman, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and Will Patterson, who rushed for 83 yards on only eight carries. Those 83 rushing yards gave Patterson a new career-high.

South Adams wouldn't let Jay County keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. South Adams can thank Craig Landis and Kaleb Minger for forcing both of them. Minger is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another thorn in Jay County's side was Nathan Plattner, who made 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Woodlan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for South Adams, their record now sits at 3-4.

Woodlan took a serious blow against South Adams in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, falling 48-20. Thankfully for Woodlan, Colton Bollenbacher (who rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
