Cuero has no trouble against King

The Cuero Gobblers waltzed into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They took down King 48-29. Given Cuero's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while King is ranked 1110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cuero's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arissa Carbonara led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Carbonara's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Aubrey Bowles was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Cuero's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for King, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Cuero will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Greenwood at 1:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for King, they will be playing at home against Seguin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Seguin is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
