The biggest upset of the week belonged to Terry, who took down 69th ranked Terry, 21-14.

Petal extended the longest winning streak in 6A Region 3 this week by beating Meridian, 23-21. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Sidney Davis was the best wideout in the league this week as Natchez lost to Hattiesburg. Davis tallied 11 receptions for 100 yards. Derrian Johnson helped Natchez's passing attack out by catching five balls for 80 yards.

Jarius Moore was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 97 yards as the Bulldogs lost to the Tigers. Robert Johnson IV also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.

Kirk McCarty put up the best numbers through the air as Oak Grove fell to Brandon. He finished with 27 completions for 225 yards and three touchdowns. McCarty's favorite target this week was Johnathan McNair, who caught nine passes for 63 yards.

Gardner Minshew provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Bulldogs topped the Warriors. He completed 18 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown and also ran for two yards.

On the ground, Terry's Moore has rushed for 1148 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jamarcus Revies. The Petal star has 39 catches for 605 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Hattiesburg and Oak Grove. Danny Nowell's team comes into the matchup ranked 14th in the state, while Nevill Barr's team ranks 12th.

Entering into this week's contest against Natchez, Minshew is short just 179 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 18 touchdowns this year, Minshew has thrown for 1821 yards with 10 interceptions.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Tigers take on the Warriors. Hattiesburg has allowed 152 points this season, while Oak Grove has given up 145. The Tigers allowed 14 points last week as they beat Lance Reed's team.

Hattiesburg was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Tigers beat the Bulldogs 35-14 earlier in the week.
