Football Game Preview: Belleview Rattlers vs. Lake Minneola Hawks

The Belleview Rattlers will challenge the Lake Minneola Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Belleview 6, Lake Minneola 3.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Belleview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Wekiva get on the board and left with a 25-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rattlers, who have now won eight contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Hannah Mason had an outrageously good game as she threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Belleview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jakyra Bostick and Jazmyn Rivas.

Meanwhile, Lake Minneola had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-6 victory over the Bobcats.

Lake Minneola's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Belleview, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
