Basketball Recap: Gardy Etienne's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Life Center Academy over Lawrenceville School

Life Center Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-56 to the Lawrenceville School Big Red. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Red apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gardy Etienne, who went 9 of 10 en route to 18 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Etienne a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Stokes, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points.

Life Center Academy now has a losing record at 8-9.

Life Center Academy will host College Achieve at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrenceville School, they will venture away from home to square off against Peddie at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
