Valley View waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 14-9 victory over the Orange Vista Coyotes. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-0 victory back in March.

Valley View got a massive performance out of Aze Martinez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave Martinez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Gomez, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Valley View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Orange Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will welcome Rancho Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley View's pitchers better be ready for this one: Rancho Christian has averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Orange Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillcrest at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
