Baseball Recap: Bigelow Comes Up Short

Bigelow was the 11-6 winner over Conway Christian when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Bigelow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arturo Cabrera, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Cabrera also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Bigelow's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Conway Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Bigelow will be playing in front of their home fans against Quitman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Conway Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Nemo Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
