Brookfield East extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Amorina Compean-Costello. The Spartans came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Brookfield Central Lancers thanks in part to Compean-Costello, who had 25 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Brookfield East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 15-6.

Brookfield East's victory bumped their record up to 34-9. As for Brookfield Central, they moved to 18-18 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Brookfield East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wauwatosa East on the 14th. As for Brookfield Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against West Allis Hale on the 16th.
