Softball Recap: River Forest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lake Station Edison on Tuesday, River Forest came back down to earth. The Ingots came up short against the Hammond Morton Governors on Friday, falling 13-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Ingots in their meetings with the Governors: they've now lost three in a row.

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Hammond Morton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

River Forest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lowell at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Hammond Morton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Hammond Bishop Noll on the 19th.
