Basketball Game Preview: Mediapolis Bulldogs vs. Washington Demons

The Mediapolis Bulldogs will head out to take on the Washington Demons on Saturday. Mediapolis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Washington likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Mediapolis humbled Columbus with a 66-12 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Washington came up short against Fort Madison on Friday and fell 57-45. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mediapolis' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points over those games. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Mediapolis was able to grind out a solid victory over Washington in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 48-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mediapolis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
