Baseball Recap: Sunnyslope Takes a Loss

While it was Sunnyslope who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Tolleson who put up more. The Vikings fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Sunnyslope saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Workman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Camden Grove, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sunnyslope has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Tolleson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnyslope will face off against Corona del Sol at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tolleson, they will take on Basha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
