Baseball Game Preview: Bayshore Bruins vs. North Port Bobcats

The Bayshore Bruins will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the North Port Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Port took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bayshore, who comes in off a win.

Bayshore will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Southeast, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Bayshore had just enough and edged Southeast out 5-4 on Thursday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Seminoles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jashun Judge was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, North Port didn't have quite enough to beat DeSoto County on Monday and fell 6-5. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Davidson and Kayden Davidson did some serious damage despite the final result: Landon went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Kayden scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Kayden also posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Rylan Bradley was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bayshore, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Bayshore might still be hurting after the 17-6 loss they got from North Port when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Bayshore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
