Baseball Recap: Llano Triumphs

While Llano's win against Brady wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Colton Bailey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Van Pelt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Llano's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Brady, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15-2 record this season.

Llano will have a chance to go back-to-back against Brady: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
