Soccer Game Preview: Glenwood vs. Waterloo

The Glenwood Titans will face off against the Waterloo Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Glenwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Springfield as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for Glenwood, who have now won three matchups in a row.

They hit Springfield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from McKenzie Doe (2), Keaton Marconi, and Chase Campbell.

Meanwhile, Waterloo kept a clean sheet against Mt. Vernon on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Rams. Waterloo haven't had any issues with Mt. Vernon recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Glenwood's win bumped their record up to 16-3-5. As for Waterloo, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3-2.

Glenwood beat Waterloo by a goal when the teams last played back in August of 2016, winning 1-0. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
