Baseball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Wesleyan Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Reagan Raiders by a score of 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one run.

Thompson Holloway and Elijah Martin did some serious damage despite the final result: Holloway scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Martin scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave Holloway a new career-high in hits. Tobias Waldridge also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Wesleyan Christian Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Reagan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesleyan Christian Academy will welcome Charlotte Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reagan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
