League recap: Bradford's Barnes delivers best pitching performance from past week

4A District 5 league recap: 3/27/13

Wyatt Barnes was the best pitcher in 4A District 5 this week, leading Bradford. Over the past week, he had one win and 19 Ks.

Justin Forsythe had the hottest bat in the league this week, racking up a .875 average, one home run and four RBIs. Williston went 3-0.

Fort White's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing five hits and four walks to lead the league in both categories.

The Tornadoes stole 14 bases this week, adding to their league-leading 64 steals on the year.

The Red Devils' Forsythe is tearing up 4A District 5 this season as he leads the league in average, hits and RBIs. This season Forsythe has feasted on opponents pitching with a .511 average and 21 RBIs thanks to 23 hits.

The league boasted ten .400 hitters over the past week. They were led by Justin Forsythe, who hit .875 this week (7-for-8).



Bj Mcneal was an RBI machine on Monday, as he knocked in four runs during Bradford's 13-8 win over Bishop Snyder. He went 2-for-4 and scored one run.

Trent Johnson threw a shutout as he led Williston to victory over Santa Fe, 8-0, on Friday. He pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out five, while giving up three hits.
