For the second straight game, Maple Mountain will face off against Cyprus. The Golden Eagles will face off against the Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Maple Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

Maple Mountain is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Cyprus.

Gracie Jensen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Brettlyn Walker was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was McClain Carter, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Cyprus moved to 15-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Maple Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Maple Mountain hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Cyprus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
