Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Escambia County). Everything went their way against the Hillcrest Jaguars on Thursday as the Escambia County Blue Devils made off with a 65-44 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Hillcrest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sky'La Mixon posted 13 points. Jayla Williams was another key player, putting up nine points.

Escambia County's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Hillcrest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Escambia County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-4 victory against W.S. Neal on the 31st. As for Hillcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-38 win against Flomaton on the 3rd.
