Football Game Preview: Red Cloud Warriors vs. Dorchester Longhorns

Red Cloud has gone a perfect 5-0 against Dorchester recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will welcome the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Red Cloud will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Red Cloud humbled Silver Lake with a 67-37 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 30 points or more this season.

Red Cloud can attribute much of their success to Hunter Englehart, who punched in two rushing scores, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Englehart also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Red Cloud was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Red Cloud didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Connor Rust and Mason Bolin.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 43-12, which was the final score in Dorchester's tilt against Diller-Odell on Friday. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Red Cloud, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Red Cloud against Dorchester when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-8 victory. In that matchup, the Warriors amassed a halftime lead of 46-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
