Baseball Recap: University City Beats Bishop's for Their Third Straight Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but University City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bishop's Knights 8-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Centurions, who have now won three games in a row.

Nolan Nunes was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Josh Kaplan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

University City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

University City's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Bishop's, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11-1.

As of now, neither University City nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
