Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Shawnee duked it out with Eastern on Monday. The Shawnee Golden Eagles took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Eagles. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will square off against Waggener at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastern, they will challenge Oldham County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern is facing Oldham County at the right time seeing as Oldham County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
