Soccer Game Preview: Silsbee vs. Bridge City

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Silsbee duke it out with the Bridge City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Silsbee's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Little Cypress-Mauriceville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Bridge City's game on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They blew past Jasper 3-0. Considering the Cardinals have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bridge City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Silsbee, their win bumped their record up to 5-7-1.
