It's playoff time, and Shiner had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Bartlett Bulldogs 20-2 on Friday. The Comanches are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Charlie Clifford made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Shiner let Carson Schuette and Caleb Lehnert run wild. Schuette went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Lehnert went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Schuette a new career-high. Jake Simper was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Shiner kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Shiner's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shiner beat the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 later that day.
