Basketball Preview: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Manning Monarchs
The Waccamaw Warriors will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Manning Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. Waccamaw will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Waccamaw was able to grind out a solid win over the Blue Jackets, taking the game 40-30.
Meanwhile, Manning took a serious blow against the Wildcats on Friday, falling 66-32. While losing is never fun, Manning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Wildcats are ranked 80th).
Waccamaw is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Manning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-20.
Everything went Waccamaw's way against the Monarchs when the teams last played two weeks ago as the Warriors made off with a 63-39 victory. With Waccamaw ahead 33-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
