It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coronado had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Centennial Bulldogs. Coronado never let Centennial on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-10.
Coronado was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only served six.
Coronado's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-4. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-14.
Coronado will challenge Bishop Gorman at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Gorman will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Coronado surely won't give up without a fight. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
