Gibbs waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Anderson County Mavericks. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 22 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Malyiah Smith was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shelby Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Gibbs hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive games.
