Basketball Recap: East Stroudsburg North Falls Despite Big Games from Brandon Bowen and James Payne

East Stroudsburg North played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Northampton Konkrete Kids, falling 73-51. The Timberwolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-27.

East Stroudsburg North's loss came despite strong showings from James Payne and Brandon Bowen. Payne posted ten points, while Bowen put up 13 points. Bowen continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jayven Payne also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for East Stroudsburg North and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Northampton, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Stroudsburg North will square off against Emmaus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northampton, they will face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
