Basketball Recap: Herreid/Selby Takes a Loss

Herreid/Selby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 74-41 loss at the hands of the Lemmon Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Cowboys are ranked 15th).

Herreid/Selby's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lemmon, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herreid/Selby will face off against Wakpala at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lemmon has already played their next contest (against McIntosh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
