Preview: Marbury Bulldogs vs. Pelham Panthers
After two games on the road, Marbury is heading back home. They will take on the Pelham Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marbury will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Pelham is ranked 62nd).
Last Friday, Marbury came up short against Prattville Christian Academy and fell 62-50. That's two games in a row now that Marbury has lost by exactly 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Marbury saw an underclassman step up: Jamar Brown scored 18 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Graham, who scored 11 points.
Pelham has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 71-34 win over Bessemer City at home.
Marbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pelham, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-3 record.
