Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly-Shell Rock). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Waukee Warriors on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Go-Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The win got Waverly-Shell Rock back to even at 10-10. As for Waukee, their loss dropped their record down to 21-8.

Waverly-Shell Rock wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Van Meter on the 27th. As for Waukee, they will face off against Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
