The Sotomayor WILDCATS will head out to challenge the Veterans Memorial Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sotomayor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Sotomayor was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Smithson Valley 9-8.

Wes Guardiola was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jace Cano was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 12-3 to Tivy.

Sotomayor's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Veterans Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.
