Volleyball Recap: Winnebago's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Winnebago came into Monday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Randolph Cardinals on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Winnebago took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15.

Rimariya Walker paced Winnebago's offense, picking up six kills. Walker got some help from Lettie Hulit and her ten assists.

Despite the loss, Randolph still got an impressive performance from Ella Graf, who had six digs and three aces.

Winnebago's win bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Randolph, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-24 record this season.

Coincidentally, Winnebago and Randolph will both be playing Walthill the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Blujays at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
